Hello! I’m Kassandra Jackson, and I’m Dani Hudson, and we are the founders of Tennessee Moms in the Middle. We started as admins in the Facebook group Murfreesboro Moms – a community of local moms seeking support, encouragement, and friendship. As the group began to grow, we noticed a unique opportunity for giving. The group has evolved to replicate this charity and is now called Moms in the Middle.
With over 4,700 members from all walks of life, we realized that there were some moms in the group who were in need and other moms who were in a position to help. And the dynamic is constantly changing! Whether you are a single parent, in between jobs, getting out of a tough situation, or your electric bill was a lot higher than you expected, we have all been in a similar situation. These moms don’t necessarily qualify for government assistance, but they don’t have enough food to make it to the next paycheck either. They are “moms in the middle”.
Tennessee Moms in the Middle is our way of paying it forward by providing the blessing of grocery assistance. Through this non-profit charity, we host events and fundraisers to benefit the moms in the group who are in need. We understand that everyone needs a little extra help sometimes, and we are blessed to be able to help when we can.
